Cornell Dubilier has released ‘ultra-flat’ aluminium electrolytic capacitors, intended to replace arrays of surface-mount capacitors. PCB terminations are flat ribbon-lead surface-mount types, whose flexibility allows the body to be mounted remote from the PCB.
