BOM / Gerber upload
To request a quotation, please upload your bill of materials (BOM) and manufacturing data package (Gerber/ODB++). Where available, please also provide pick-and-place/centroid data, assembly drawings, fabrication notes, test specifications, and any programming or configuration requirements. Accepted formats may include .zip (data package) and .csv/.xlsx (BOM), together with standard PCB output files. Please include required quantities (including batch/lot sizes where applicable) and the required lead-times/delivery dates. All customer data is handled in accordance with agreed confidentiality requirements.

What services does a contract electronics manufacturer (CEM) provide?
Icom-Scottech provides sub-contract electronics manufacture from our Kelso factory: PCB assembly (PCBA) using surface mount (SMT), through-hole and hybrid technologies, cable and wire harnesses, final unit assembly and box build, functional testing and inspection, plus full supply chain management and new product introduction (NPI).
Can you build PCB assembly prototypes with fast turnaround?
Yes. Prototype and small-batch builds follow a fast-turnaround route with rapid quotation, early technical review of your BOM, drawings and Gerber/ODB++ data, and prioritised production scheduling, with the same controlled processes used for volume manufacture.
What information do you need to quote a PCB assembly (PCBA) job?
Please send your bill of materials (BOM) and a manufacturing data package such as Gerber/ODB++ files. Where available, pick-and-place/centroid data, assembly drawings, fabrication notes and test specifications help us quote accurately. Include required quantities and delivery dates.
Do you handle SMT, through-hole and hybrid technology builds?
Yes. We assemble fine-pitch surface mount devices including micro-BGA and 0201 packages, through-hole components such as connectors and power devices, and hybrid boards combining both technologies, with AOI and IPC-aligned inspection throughout.
Can you manage component procurement, or work with free-issued kits?
Both. We offer a full-buy service where we procure everything to your BOM and approved vendor list, free-issued kits you supply, or a hybrid mix of the two. We also provide stock management, buffer stock and obsolescence management for ongoing programmes.
Are you certified to ISO 9001?
Yes. Icom-Scottech is certified to ISO 9001:2015 by SGS under UKAS-accredited certification, and our personnel are IPC trained with IPC-aligned workmanship criteria applied across SMT, through-hole, hybrid and cable harness builds. The certificate is available to download from our About Us page.
Where are you located, and do you work with customers outside the Scottish Borders?
We are based in Kelso in the Scottish Borders, Scotland, and support customers across the UK and beyond. The site is close to the A68 and A7 corridors, with straightforward access to Edinburgh, Newcastle and the central belt.
